Srinagar, Jul 04 (KNO): The light rainfall on Tuesday brought respite from the scorching heat in Kashmir that continued for the past few weeks while the weatherman has predicted more rains till July 08. According to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), Srinagar, the summer capital of Jammu & Kashmir and other places received light rains today in the evening. The light rains have brought relief from the scorching heat, which continued for the past few weeks in Jammu & Kashmir with intermittent rain spells as well. Meanwhile, Director Meteorological department (MeT), Sonum Lotus had predicted generally cloudy weather with light to moderate rain at scattered places of Jammu& Kashmir today. He said that there is a possibility of intermittent light to moderate rain, thunderstorm at many places tomorrow. Lotus added that from July 06-08, the intermittent light to moderate rain shower is expected at many places of Jammu & Kashmir. “Some places in plains of Jammu region may receive moderate to heavy spells during morning hours,” he said—(KNO)
